konaJon Bluestein is the Assistant Head of School at The Gillispie School, a Pre-school-6 independent school in La Jolla, CA.   He has 13 years of experience in education, holding a variety of positions in and out of schools including Director of Middle School Teaching and Learning and Dean of 5th & 6th grades at Randolph School, a K-12 independent school; Academic Director of a learning-through-gaming website; Head of Primary at an international school in Bangkok, Thailand; 5th grade classroom teacher; middle school social studies and technology teacher; and varsity basketball and tennis coach.
